Inflation has risen on all three measures in the year to January 2025, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers’ housing costs (CPIH) is 3.9% (up from 3.5% in January), which is the highest it has been since exactly a year ago when it was 4.2%. The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) has seen the greatest rise, to 3.0%, having been 2.5% in December. This measure is slightly higher than economists had predicted.
