Inflation has remained constant on the Office for National Statistics’ (ONS) two headline measures, with a small dip on the third. The Consumer Prices Index including owner occupiers’ housing costs (CPIH) stood at 3.1% for the year to August 2024, the same as in July, and the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) likewise held steady at 2.2%. Meanwhile the Retail Prices Index (RPI) fell marginally to 3.5%, down from 3.6% last month.
