Many public sector workers have had their 2024 pay rise confirmed, with increases ranging between 4.75% for police officers to 6% for the armed forces, doctors and dentists and the judiciary. All recommended pay rises, made by the eight independent pay review bodies (PRBs), were accepted in full by the Government yesterday.
These pay increases are above the current level of CPI inflation, which was 2.0% in June 2024, and above IDR's median of 4.6% for three months ending June 2024. The table below summarises the main consolidated pay rise for each group. The PRB reports also include other recommendations including changes to progression or allowances.
