This report, produced for the National Education Union, analyses the responses of approximately 2,300 members to a survey gathering teachers’ views and experiences of the Upper Pay Range (UPR). Topics covered include perceived changes in the purpose of the UPR since its introduction; expectations and demands placed on UPR teachers; and teachers’ experiences of progression to the maximum of the UPR.
This report, which we produced for the FDA and Prospect trade unions, examines pay-setting processes in the civil service, and those under the Pay Review Bodies, and looks at the issues raised by both.
